Description
Cylindrical fuses, also called cartridge fuses, are used to protect electrical circuits from overloads.
When too high a current passes, the internal wire burns, interrupting the circuit and avoiding damage to the application. To restore the system it will be necessary to change the fuse.
Glass and ceramic fuses have similar characteristics, ceramic ones with respect to glass have a high breaking or breaking capacity and are suitable for high voltage and current circuits.
This fuse has a “time-delayed” type S speed. They are designed to protect to tolerate a higher level for short periods without shorting. They are ideal for those applications involving current peaks.
To release the correct fuse, a higher breaking capacity must be chosen than the fault capacity of the application. If the breaking capacity is exceeded, the fuse blows blocking the current.
